Far Nook is a traditionally built detached Lakeland stone residence set in its own grounds on the northern edge of Ambleside, but only five minutes walk from the town centre facilities for restaurants and shops.  Grasmere and Wordsworth's Dove Cottage are approx. 4 miles away and Wordsworth's other historic house Rydal Mount, is approx. 1.5 miles away.

	There is  private parking, ideal for leaving your car behind and taking many of the lovely walks from our doorstep.  For public transport, bus stops (north & south) are 300 yards away, walk to your destination and get the bus back, or vice versa.

We have a lovely garden which changes with the seasons, which our guests are welcome to enjoy,  during their stay with us.
